Gaggi then grows wary with Nicky's subsequent perpetuation of multiple murders and burglaries against his authorization he later summons Frankie and orders him to tell Nicky to take things "easier" in order to avoid getting the authorities to link his crimes to the Outfit's skimming operation. As time goes on, however, Nicky quickly spirals out of control to the point where he ends up getting himself barred from all the casinos in Las Vegas. He also authorizes Nicky's right-hand enforcer, Frankie Marino, to join Nicky with the addition of making sure that Nicky handles the situation without causing any more trouble. Gaggi then sends Sam's childhood friend Nicky Santoro to protect the skimming operation and eliminate any obstacle against Sam's progress.

Remo Gaggi was a powerful crime boss and leader of the Chicago Outfit. He was portrayed by the late Pasquale Cajano. He is based off real life Chicago Outfit headman Joseph Aiuppa. Remo Gaggi is the overarching antagonist of the 1995 Martin Scorsese film Casino. ~ Gaggi asking Frankie if Nicky is having an affair with Sam's wife Ginger, which foreshadows it's result of the Chicago Outfit's eventual downfall.
